After a short break towards the end of last year the Borderline Music label spearheaded by Simon Bostock have had a bit of a refresh for2014, starting with a collection of two very talented trance minds…
It’s a fresh start for the Borderline music label this year with a whole new refresh of their label artwork, look and album covers. What will remain is the superb trance they continue to bring with each release. Having been on a small hiatus over the past few months they are back with a bang releasing a collaboration between Thomas Datt and Magnus. As individual producers these two can hold their own against anyone in the trance scene so you can expect something pretty special when they knock melodies together. What they have come up with is a track called ‘Binary Complex’ and it’s a very sweet mixture of the twos individual sound mashed into one.

:: Original Mix
Binary Complex is the first collaboration Thomas Datt and Magnus have put together. There is a lot to like about it with a little touch of uplifting, some pounding beats and a nice touch of sweeping female vocal without words dusted on top of the melody. The leading melodies sweep you into an epic breakdown with some very tasty trance sounds going off within it. It’s a different uplift to a tune that finishes the break and drops right back into a sweeping melody, this one cuts off after the break. Some tracks for me, don’t work when they do that but such is a rich sound and structure in this track I think it fits in perfectly.
Conclusion:
The Borderline guys are back with a bang! This is just the start of some very good music to come through 2014 and I hope not the last collaboration Thomas Datt and Magnus make as they have made a real little gem with Binary Complex.
