 Freemasons follow up the CD release of their massive new artist album, ‘Shakedown 3’ with an extra treat for all fans of quality, uplifting disco house...
The ‘Shakedown 3’ Deluxe Version, is available only as a digital release, and gathers together all the tracks from the album, plus every extra new track, remix and edit that Freemasons wanted to include on the album, but didn’t have room for. This huge collection of 50 tracks delivers some of the finest house music you’ll hear this year. Added to this, the Deluxe Version also includes 2 x DJ mixes of Freemasons productions, the ‘Poolside Mix’ and the ‘Night Mix’.
Freemasons a.k.a. Russell Small and James Wiltshire, are firmly established as one of the most successful dance music acts the UK has ever produced. In a 10 year career, their trademark, uplifting, disco house sound, has so far delivered 6 top 20 hits. Their reputation as the best remixers in the business is backed up by a stunning list of artists remixed, including Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Kelly Rowland, Kylie, Jamiroquai and George Michael, and more recently, the likes of John Newman, London Grammar and Katy Perry. Their mix of Beyonce ‘Déjà vu’ saw them nominated for a Grammy, underlining their global popularity.
After taking a break in 2011, Freemasons stripped down their studio, rebuilt it and got back to business, emerging with a vast new body of work. James comments, “Shakedown III is the culmination of several years studio work. Sonically it’s the best we've ever sounded and musically the most varied.”
The Deluxe Version of ‘Shakedown 3’ provides DJs and dancefloor aficionados with extended, full length mixes of all the new Freemasons tracks, as well as all the edits. Also included are extended mixes of the latest massive Freemasons remixes, including London Grammar ‘Nightcall’, Whitney Houston ‘Million Dollar Bill’, Hurts ‘Wonderful Life’ and John Newman ‘Cheating’.
The Deluxe Version also gives fans the chance to hear the 2014 version of the Freemasons smash ‘Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)’ featuring Sophie Ellis Bextor, as well as extended 2014 versions of their hits ‘Uninvited’ ft Bailey Tzuke, ‘Believer’ ft Wynter Gordon and ‘Rain Down Love’ ft Siedah Garrett. Freemasons ‘Pegasus Rising’ is also only featured only on the Deluxe Version, and, if that’s not enough, you can hear both the 3AM Mix and Freemasons Mix of ‘Gorecki’ by Pegasus ft Levana Wolf.
