The Perfecto Black label is back with a fresh dose of moody progressive beats from Phithly Chit. He has made some very big waves on the dance circuit during 2014 and checking out his first entry for this year you can easily see why...

The Perfecto Black label is one which hides in the corner of the Perfect office waiting for everybody to leave so it can wreck havoc once the sun goes down and the darkness falls. It’s the label that puts the progressive tunes which don’t really fit in the Fluoro or Perfecto brand under one roof. It’s a label which during last year was re-awoken after a few years in the slumber. It’s good that they did as it comes up with some superb alternative progressive music with real soul to it. The new artist with a style perfect for the Black imprint is this little Philthy Chit. He’s impressed label boss Paul Oakenfold before and last year got a debut guest mix on his Fluoro radio show.

Tranquiliser (Audio Noir Rekonstrution)
:: Agenda

I must say he’s an artists I do not know that much about but what information I have gathered is he is from the UK and for the past four years has held down a monthly residency at Manchester based progressive house night AGENDA. Maybe that was the reason behind one of the track titles in this new release. It was only during last year he started to get known by a few of big faces on the trance and progressive circuit with a featured track on Solarstone’s EA3 compilation and a guest mix on Paul’s Oakenfold’s Full On Fluoro radio show.

It’s not a hard decision to see why after taking a listen to this latest release. Two main tracks to tickle the taste buds with, including a Audio Noir remix of ‘Tranquiliser’ which borrows a popular intro from New Order’s Blue Monday track. They are both on the progressive side with Agenda being the more uplifting of the two. Tranquiliser is the moody and dark track here, which the progressive fans out there will love, especially the Audio Noir remix that rips things up with a terrific main bass line.

Conclusion:
This is a good way for the dark side of Perfecto to start the year and likewise an artist who I'm sure will continue to grow as he did during 2014, Philthy Chit. Two tidy progressive tunes to be found here with the pick for me a very deep Audio Noir remake of Tranquiliser.
