Check out one of the first single releases taken from Armada music's Rodg debut artist album 'High On Life' with the very progressive and moody record 'Apollo'...
It’s been only within the past few months I have been taking notice of the music from an artist known as Rodg. Truth be known last year I had never heard anything from him, or taken notice of it in either case. He is firmly on the talent radar for me now having taken in the productions he has been delivering throughout 2016 which came together as an artist collection called ‘High On Life’. That is an album anyone who likes the progressive moody style of dance tune will really enjoy. So who is this Rodg? He is a Dutchman from Amsterdam and has been working with Armada Music for a few years now. To the music man he is Rodg but to his friends and family he is known as Rogier de Kreuk. You can see where he got his aliases name from now.
:: Available from Beatport

What is his new single all about then? That’s why you’ve read this far so I might as well tall you a bit about. For me, its something a little bit different. Every artist has their own style, well not every but there are artists who you can tell the tune from the first beat. With Rodg he seems to have got a real talent for putting moody melodies and catchy bars within his tunes, this one is a prime example. It’s by no means a peak time thumper, plods along at a steady pace but its got real atmosphere about it and an appeal which is infections to the ear. It’s got depth and the melody to be had amongst the progressive bars is gorgeous. One for the progressive fans but with this sound it will cross over to other fans who like that something different.
Conclusion:
Quite simple a superb record which is simple in its make up but delivers a real moody progressive slap around the face I'm sure once you get your ears around will really enjoy. I really like Rodg's music at the moment and after a listen to this I think you will to.
