© HalcyonVenue aims to produce a clubbing experience to rival the world’s best clubs

Halcyon, a new nightclub focusing on electronic music, has opened in a converted, Victorian warehouse space in San Francisco. Halcyon will bring the world’s most sought after DJs, labels and brands, to the west coast, including, Dave Seaman, Cocoon, Dubfire, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Madmotormiquel, Sharam, DJ Sneak, Serge Devant, Jan Blomqvist (Live), Visionquest (Lee Curtiss & Ryan Crosson), Tiefschwarz and more. Uncompromising in every aspect, from its rare 24-hour license for parties, to its world class Pioneer Pro Audio sound system and cutting edge production values, Halcyon is set to become a global destination for clubbers in search of excellence and innovation in electronic music.

Halcyon

Owned and managed by respected, San Fran nightlife entrepreneur Gina Milano, Halcyon is an early 1900s brick and steel-beamed warehouse that has been transformed into a dynamic club space. The management team brings experience and influence from Ibiza, which is reflected throughout the club. The understated yet sophisticated venue has been designed to deliver a stunning, multi-sensory clubbing experience.

In its opening month, Halcyon has already seen the likes of Dave Seaman, Madmotormiquel, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Dubfire and Joseph Capriati step up to put the stunning Halcyon sound system through its paces. The forthcoming DJ lineups deliver a statement of intent, with top tier DJs and avant-garde live electronic artists, lining up to perform, including Jan Blomqvist, DJ Sneak, Sharam, Visionquest (Lee Curtiss & Ryan Crosson), Yousef, Kenny Dope, Christoph, Tiefschwarz and more. Ibiza’s finest, Cocoon, have confirmed a 3 date residency, and in 2017 Halcyon will also hold the USA’s first Heist Recordings showcase featuring Detroit Swindle, Nachtbraker and Adesse Versions.

The opening events at Halcyon have already made a huge impact. Most recently Dubfire and Joseph Capriati performed to a sell out crowd of party people, producing an unforgettable atmosphere. Cocoon’s first party saw clubbers experiencing the true essence of Ibiza in California for the first time, while the Pink Mammoth event proved the value of the 24 hour license, as the party continued right through until 12 midday.

Halcyon’s rare 24 hour license allows the club to deliver on a whole different level, allowing for longer sets and offering more creative freedom to DJs. It also means the bar will reopen at 6am (US licensing laws close bars at 2am) and positions Halcyon as the ultimate after-party venue for San Francisco and beyond.

Halcyon boasts the top international talent in music programming, lighting and sound design, to produce a club experience at a level rarely seen. In a major coup, Halcyon can also instantly lay claim to one of the best sound systems in the world.

Halcyon

“We are Pioneer Pro Audio’s flagship in San Francisco Bay Area,” says Gina Milano. “Renowned sound engineers Andy Kayll and Rich Walsh have crafted the aural experience, as they did at the legendary DC10 in Ibiza. Our visuals team have fused the latest technology into bespoke light shows, utilizing cutting edge tools including a six laser projection mapping system, pixel control super flat on the original industrial beams and moving light capabilities. Every show will be different, tailored to each individual act.”

Leading visual specialists, Obscura Digital have been brought in to design and operate cryo, pyro and confetti cannons, ensuring production values at Halcyon are second to none.

Halcyon sets new standards; a cutting edge, electronic music destination in San Francisco delivering a multi-sensory clubbing experience like no other!
