 This year marks the 24th birthday of the iconic clubbing brand that we know as Gatecrasher. What better way to celebrate that hosting a party in the city which made the brand what it is in Sheffield. Today, they released the line up for what will be a very special birthday party...
Chances are if your into trance today you will have very fond memories of 1999 where the genre exploded into the mainstream. I remember the time well as it was a period where I started to really get into serious dance music. The early Gatecrasher mix compilations go down as some of my all time favourites. The club which hosted all the tunes as based in Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It would attract people from the length of the country to go and party and hosted some of the biggest DJ’s that are still pumping out the tunes today.
While the brand these days is slightly different to when it first started its still going and still hosting parties. The brand turns 24 years old this year and they are heading back to Sheffield to celebrate in style with a superb line up which was announced today. Its one which give or take a few names could very well give you flashbacks to 1999 with Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine and one of the clubs most famous residents Scott Bond signed up to play.
From the looks there will be three rooms of fun to be had with a very tasty looking hard house room as they have invited Paul Maddox, BK, Lee Haslam and Rob Tissera to smash the beats out. If you can get to it, do it because it looks to be a real beauty of the party.
