Post Post subject: Good "Mixing-Software" Reply with quote

Hi there!

I search a Programm what allows me to Mix MP3`s, cut them, fade, filter out sounds (like vocals) and so on...

I use the "Traktor Player" yet...

Anyone knows a good Prog?
(Magix Music Maker is not running on my System... Evil or Very Mad)

THX 4 HELP!

Didn't like Traktor that much; I prefer BPM Studio.

Virtual Turntables by Carrot Software was good in it's day but the developer stopped making it due to other committments...it is still available to download at their website though: http://www.carrotinnovations.com

BPM Studio is also quite good - lots of options and configurability in there...

There was another program i had that absolutely rocked...and i can't even remember the name of it right now...oh well if i remember i'll update this post..

PCDJ Red Rulez!!!

It's a great program, stable, can be used for rip, and really gives an professional touch if you got an DMC-01 Controller made from Numark (like me)

PCDJ Red you can't beat it especially when you have the Numark DMC-1 Controller and Soundblaster Live Platinum to go with it, together they are all a nice little package.......

I've been using the software and hardware for a year now and I've mastered it to perfection. Cool

I Have Been Mixing mp3s now for 4 years... ( I started off with virtual turntables.. 9 usng a splitted. But The audio quailty was shite. ) i went on to mixvibes pro, ( more options than VTT but still not to good.. ) I have tried Mixman, ( didn't think too much of it..) and tracktor.. ( I honestly thought was crap ( it is very hands on ) but if you are gonna do something like that then use decks... wher you have 2 hands
For the past years and a bit i have used BPM studio and never looked back..
at first I used two sound cards but the latencey between the two got worse as the songs went on. ( I have recently brought a second hand mixer ) and with my Soundblaster Front and rear outputs. ( i have channel one comming out of front and 2 out of rear They go into the mixer and i mix like that... and my god... It rocks!!!!!!!!

BPM studio costs about £300 and is constantly updated.. Even for win XP
they do custom built systems.. (plus and external addon ( it looks like the main part of a denom cd mixer) and that plugs into the back serial port.. so no mouse or keyboard is needed..

anyway that my 2 pence worth

What is the best program for mixing in NON-Real time?

I want to make mixed CD's but I dont want to make them in Real Time I would much prefer to compare beats looking at it in a cool edit type view where you can actually see the beats and overlap the two songs perfectly.

I seen a tutorial for this using a software package on .TV when it was alive and ive been looking for that program ever since. Any help is appreciated thanks Smile

Hey guys, i've been using the Traktor for a while. I started with traktor to learn how mix. It's very easy with this program. But now i'm using Tactile 12000. It's a software that puts a full set of DJ gear on your desktop - it is a 3-D, fully interactive, digital DJ setup - two turntables and a mixer. You can crossfade, backspin, and speed up and slow down music, including MP3 files, on your computer. I think this program it's near to mix with the real turntables. So try this stuff, it's free at http://www.tactile12000.com
(Sorry if my english it's not good, it's not my language). Cool

Mixvibes pro is pretty good.

I was wondering, is there any mixing software out the which you can mix in real time and save it so I can create a complelation and then copy it onto a CD?

traktor lets you mix and record in real time, so you could save that, then burn it onto cd.
