Speaking ahead of her performance at Camden’s the Jazz Cafe, Kate Simko is an artist with a rich musical palette encompassing a variety of different genres. With a recent boom in the popularity of electronic-orchestral hybrids, Kate’s London Electronic Orchestra is unique, currently comprising of a smaller ensemble fit for intimate settings such as The Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, Shoreditch House and The Jazz Cafe.

Inspired by London’s musical broad-mindedness, London is the city in 2014 where Kate completed her master’s degree in composition for screen at the Royal College of Music. This was the perfect setting for her to form London Electronic Orchestra. The orchestra fuses her background as a classical pianist composer with her signature electronic music productions.

The performance at the iconic Jazz Cafe takes place off the back of the ensemble’s first U.S tour to three sold out shows in New York and Chicago, and a rooftop set in Washington DC. LEO will release a new single in Autumn 2017 and have international tour plans in the works for 2018.
