The most important element in music is without a doubt Synths.
and after that melody and...........
but synths are essential without it the tune has no soul.

I agree, the synths are the most effective part. But saying that there are just some tunes which are so brilliant the bassline, synths, melody & buildup all are as important as each other.

example: Gouryella - Gouryella. 10mins long, but still i never tire of it! Thats my opinion of cource, and it may not count for much.

As for vocals, well about 90% of the tunes i own have no vocals what-so-ever so i dont really think they are important. Unles you have a tune such as Lange's - Drifting Away. Now that is vocal trance at its best! Very Happy

vocals change the whole style to Pop Trance which i am not a great fan of it.
