It seems to me, the only real way would be to find the track with vocals, find the exact same track without vocals. I mean exact. Reverse the phase of the non-vocal track and play and record. By reversing it will cancel out all remnants of the music. But good luvk finding those tracks.

This is nearly impossible. The vocals will sounds phased and warped, because of tiny differences in frequencies.
The only way to get clean vocals, is to get the acapella's!
