Post subject: how do people transfer to vinyl? |
|
|
I'm fairly new to the entire dj'ing experience, but i am quite fascinated.
one question that i was always wondering, and i hope someone can help me out, is how people transfer their own created music to vinyl to spin it?
perhaps this question may be silly, but for someone who may use fruity or reason how do they get their creations to vinyl??

wow that is fairly expensive indeed... but typically speaking not many people can afford that obviously. so my question is how do people bring their own music to sets? like when you see a guy spinning, how would he spin his own tracks?
like maybe the high rank djs may not have a problem with this, for instance the technology may be widely available to guys like tiesto (who i assume creates his own music). but what about guys who are just starting the ranks? its not like the technology is available to them?
or is that perhaps not too common? it seems weird that so many people will spin other peoples tracks or creations. dont dj's find themselves spinning tracks other people have spun on numerous occasions?
fill me in!
cheers.

i think some vinyl pressing plants make one of dub plates for you without labels and contracts and what have you. in australia there is only one vinyl pressing plant, and they press one dup plates for about up to $au200
http://www.corduroy.com.au/production.htm heres their website...they say something about it there.
