I can't say I have a problem with it, in fact its good to have him over. I can't understand why a lot of people have bad feeling against Bush, he may have gone to war with Iraq but that was the right thing to do.
No doubt they will moan at the amount of police used due to his visit but if it were not for the stupid dimwits protesting there would not be that many needed.
Whats folks views on it?

No wonder they need lots of police...i'm pretty sure many people would want him dead...and probably the english prime minister too...
an opportunity for terrorists to take them both out in one big bang...

So many ppl are pissed off cos they believe they the war was unjustified cos they based it on Saddams weapons of mass destruction which they still haven't found yet. Either way im not fussed though I do think trying to shut down half of London and his security is overkill. I think if terrorists are going to attack they'll do it when security isn't so tight but then again you can be never too sure.
As for the protests i think that isn't the major reason for the over-the-top police presence i think it's the threat of a terror attack.

I'm definitely not Bush's biggest fan, and I'd probably be in the protest if I lived in the UK, but anyway, that's for another thread.
So did he speak, and what'd he say? Just out of curiosity.

He said summit about us being lucky to live in a country where we are allowed to speak our minds, on Breakfast with Frost.

Try telling your citizens facts instead of hyping ideas and suppositions. Try being straight with the people that hang on your every word. And most importantly, try knowing when to listen to opposing viewpoints!
But yeah, don't get me started.
And a lot of Americans seem to like him a bunch. So who knows?

to answer your question in a north american perspective.. the reason people don't like bush is b/c he doesn't have the charisma that clinton had...

Thats a good point. Its usual for folk to just hope these things will go away peacfully but sometimes that aint gonna happen and it needs to be sorted.
