Okay I'm sorry I'm so incompetent about posting mp3 stuff, but I'm not sure how to make the song fit the file size. Any chance anyone can help me out?

you could take a sample from it, about 30-60secs worth of the tune, or rip it at a lower bitrate to reduce the size of the file.
You want an mp3 spiltter prgram to do that. if you can't track one down, msg me and I'll send you one as there are plenty of very good freeware ones out there.
