Despite the Loveparade cancellation...

The parade is off, but the CD from Low Spirit is still to be released. The dance scene is getting ready for 10 July even though there will be no Love Parade. In addition to the Love Week that has already been announced with numerous club parties, a demonstration and a compilation CD are now also lined up.

The label Low Spirit, who have marketed all official albums for the Love Parade, will be releasing the double CD "Love Parade Summer Session 04" on 5 July despite the cancellation. The marchers at the "Fight The Power" demonstration, which is being staged on the planned Love Parade day, will be able to get into the feeling as they head along Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm: Under the motto "Protest march against the intolerant and narrow-minded attitude towards club culture and for the return of the Love Parade to Berlin", five trucks and a bus will be taking to the streets.

The magazine "Partysan" founded in 1993 is behind the campaign. The spokesman is Boris Eichler from Partysan Media & Events. The Love Parade weekend should also be a busy day for some of the previous Love Parade media partners. Viva in cooperation with German Railways will be sending a "Love Train" from Cologne to Berlin and record an edition of the "Club Rotation" dance show along the way.

The first ever Loveparade will be held in the States in San Francisco on October 2nd. If anyone cares to know. Muah.
