Trance isnt focused on bass... I think house has that harder bass sound. I dont know though, check out: The MFA - The Difference It Makes.

For Bass, trance isn't the way to go. Jump-up, Breaks, or House are the way to go there.

Ive actually heard a lot of trance songs with hard solid bass beats in them, but I also know some that have very $hitty bass as well.

Since when has Paul Van Dyk had heavy bass in his tracks? His kicks are really weeping and soft compared to techno and hardcore... still sticking with what I said and that is trance isnt bass orientated. Look more to techno for some meaty bass where the tracks main element is the bass... Silent Breed Vs Gecko - The Fly. Check that out! I love it! Very Happy

Yeah, I agree PVD's songs aren't bassy..... Confused

So then what good techno songs have a good bass beat to them? If you are going to list some techno, please name tracks that are a little melodic. Cool

Try some by hard trance DJs and producers. S..H.O.K.K. comes to mind.
How about Marco V?

Definitely Astral Projection and Kai Tracid.

I have an interesting album called Trance & Bass. No idea its origin, but it might be in the terms of what you're looking for if you can find a copy. It's really more bass than trance, more drum & bass with trance elements thrown in.

Concord Dawn has a good blend, you might wanna give them a look.
