X-Cabs - "Sierra" / "Terratec"

[propulsionrecords]

A1. "Sierra"
B1. "Sierra' (Chris Cowie Remix)
B2. "Terratec"

(Realaudio Samples online at Propulsion Records)

X-Cabs is back with more teched-out tuneage. ’Sierra’ has the feel of classic X-Cabs tracks like ‘Infectious’ & ‘Cut to Zero’ but suped up for the new millennium. The decidedly funky and energetic groove is washed with sparkling leads, subtle lines and one nasty rasping hook. The Chris Cowie mix features another choice selection of drums, gritty acidlines and chords. And to add even more value to the package is, ‘Terratec,’ a heavy relentless breakbeat featuring stretching leads, crunchy effects and more analog madness to sear that dancefloor.

Not heard anything from the Cabs for a while. I'll be looking out for this one.

My favourite X-Cabs production is and most likely always will be Neuro '99. Love that tune. I'll be keeping an ear out for this too though
