Post subject: Asle Bjorn "Remedy" with Sucker DJs Remix and more |
Fresh off the massive success of his “Some Kinda Freak” tune (Size/Whoop) Alse Bjorn joins the Funktion Recordings team with his first release on the imprint titled “Remedy.” Asle is no stranger to the Dance music scene having releases on labels like Hook/UG, Brother Brown Records, Oven Ready, Bigstar Records, Fluid, Universal, and Zomba. “Remedy” is a piano laden anthem with an infectious vocal hook and a feel good vibe sure to have clubbers singing along with smiles on their faces.Stepping up to remix duties is the Sucker DJ’s who have been churning out a slew of top-tunes including recent outings on Whoop ,Azuli and their own Sucker DJ’s imprint. The duo flip the mix by looping the main hook of the song , layering a massive B-line underneath it all while inserting screeching synth fills and an absolutely massive breakdown , making for a true peak time moment.Rounding things off is label owner Josh “The Funky 1” with his House Moguls crew (Tony Arzadon, Gus E Gruv, and Billy The Kid) Josh and crew completely dissect the original, chopping the vocals and bassline, with quirky stutter-edits, giving the track a funky-Jacking sound not to distant from the likes of Switch/Solid Grooves. Also included are 2 bonus acapella tools.
Josh “The Funky 1” returns once again with brand new remixes of Universal Sound, the widely acclaimed single which first surfaced on System Recordings in conjunction with the equally titled ,Universal Sound mix CD. Now on his own imprint, Funktion Recordings, Josh enlists two of the hottest remixers in dance music to add their own touch to it .First up is man of the moment Ian Carey , with a slew of releases and remixes on labels like , Data, Defected, Manifesto, and Sound Division, this guy has been of fire. Ian holds true to the original by maintaining the B-line while adding layers of synths and strings on top to create a funked up peak time House Music Anthem.Next up Pool E Music owner and the man behind the Boostronic series steps on-board for remix duties. Laurent Pautrat comes swinging with his brand of Big Room tech-house flavor, layering monstrous synths with epic break-downs. Mr. Pautrat’s creates a mix that chugs and progresses before exploding into massive floor filler for the main room.
