This history making event is the first in its kind ever @ the Custard Factory. On Saturday 2nd may we restructure the layout of the club by transforming the pool into a massive dance floor, draining the water and installing a gigantic marquee. To add to that we are throwing in a full on festival sound system and fully professional staging, sound & lighting as well as the very best in fire eaters, pyrotechnics and dancers to accommodate the live acts!.
That’s not all though! The rest of the club will be open with over 50 DJs including house, trance & electro.
Oh!!!! And did we mention, when buying your ticket for this event, you will also get free entry to a very high profile event & also a free CD that you will love forever and money could never buy!!

Hi Bryan, it’s great to have you involved with the Xstatic & Deprivation Summer Marquee event at the Custard Factory on May 2nd, as this will be your debut in Birmingham, can you tell us a bit more about yourself?

I'm a 26 year old lad living in Dublin with a love for full on energetic music of all styles. I take my music very seriously but i also make sure that i always enjoy myself. I've heard a lot of great things about The Custard Factory so i'm really looking forward to it.

What can we expect from you on the night, as your known for a bit of trickery behind the decks and someone who seems to gell well stuck into it?

Expect the unexpected is the way that i've always described the way i play and the tracks that i make. I always like to mix it up as much as i can and keep things as interesting as possibly. I have an equal love of the techy stuff and the more banging trancey stuff as long as it's devoid of cheeseyness and lack of energy. I've also started to incorporate three decks into my sets over the last few months which has given me the opportunity to experiment a bit more. I love djing more than anything else and i think this is apparent by how i appear when i play because i love every second of it.



What would you say came first for you, djing or producing?

Djing came first for me and that started in 2000 when i got my first set of decks. They were an awful pair of Squale CD decks but i think they served me well because if you could mix on them you mix on anything. I then moved onto vinyl a couple of years later and switched between the two. I am now fully digital with the usage of cdj's. I started producing in around 2002 and have spent the last seven years getting to the level of production where i am at now. I'm really happy with my sound at the moment and hopefully there is a lot more to come.

And how are things going at the moment in studio, any new tracks or projects on the horizon that you can tell us about?

I have loads of different projects on the go at the moment and a lot of very interesting tracks on the way. I'm delighted to be full time at music now so i've a lot more time to dedicate to my tracks. I have projects ranging from Electro/Tech House to tribal techno to trance to full on bosh and i'm really excited by how some of them are sounding. There are also a number of very interesting collaborations on the way so keep your ears peeled for them.

Your signed to one of the leading Trance labels in the UK, Discover, how did this first come about?

This came about after myself and John O'Callaghan made Restricted Motion and it was signed to Discover by John Askew. This was a fantastic moment for myself because it was the first track i made and for it to be remixed by Askew was quality aswell. To be honest we were both a bit disappointed that the track didn't do as good as we thought it would but it was the first track to have that 'Discover sound' so maybe it was the catalyst for what happened after and evidently led to Exactly so i can't complain really.



The Trance scene in Ireland is on a high at the moment, with John O’Callaghan, Greg Downey, yourself, Neil Scarborough, Paul Webster and now Gary Maguire coming through. Can you tell us what is in the water over there???

Yeah we all seem to be doing really well at the moment and it's a great feeling. We are a close knit group and are close friends at the end of the day aswell. Although we are involved within the same genre in the scene i think we are very much different with the music that we do make at the same time. Gary has been making some really good stuff recently and i can only see things getting better for him. Neal Scarborough is also on top of his game at the moment and Wiretap will be one of the tunes of the summer. John O'Callaghan is in a different league to anyone else and i'm convinved he'll be number one within the next five years, i really hope it happens.

What would you say is the highlight of your career so far? Any memorable gigs or releases your proud of?

I'm lucky to have played some amazing clubs and also at Sensation White in Australia where i headlined the trance room. I have also played twice at Inside Out at the Arches which was a dream come true as i had been there as a clubber on so many occasions. My stand out gig would have to be the Sunrise Festival in Poland this year which i have been lucky enough to be invited back to this year. Playing in front of 12,000 people on that sound system was something i will never forget.

If you wasn’t involved in the Dance scene, what would you be doing now?

I honestly can't imagine been involved in anything other than the dance scene. I have recently just completed an apprenticeship as an electrician but i hope i never have to go back to it and am fully determined to get to where i want to get with my music.

Ok, now the obvious question, your stuck on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?

Music, music and vodka.
