Turnmills Towers braces itself for another night of full-on mentalism come Friday 17th November as The Gallery present another eclectic DJ ensemble. As you know, ‘London’s Club of the Year 2004/2005’ (so say dance bible Mimxag), like to mix it up good and proper from time to time, none more so than this week with Umek, Corvin Dalek and Coburn all headlining.

(Uros) Umek grew up in the former Yugoslavia. His early love for all things techno, rave, hardcore and breaks meant he would travel 8 hours to Germany to get his vinyl fix! Since those early years Umek has gone onto to set up two labels, Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops - together with Valentino Kanzyani, and is now one of the globe’s leading purveyors of his beloved synthetic techno sound. Next up is the original Wet n’ Hard pimp – Corvin Dalek. The ‘Hungarian Hammer’ as he’s affectionately known as is one of The Gallery all-time faves having first got us into that pumping German-edged sound (with Timo Maas) a number of years back. He’s also the king of the ‘Pornoground’ – another sub-genre he’s pioneered all over the world and returns to The Gallery this week to sex up the crowd good and proper!! Also on the bill is Coburn aka Pete Martin and Tim Healey. The UK electro-tech outfit last year brought us the dancefloor monster ‘We Interrupt this Programme’ and have pretty much played everywhere around the world since!! Tim was of course part one of the residents for indie-dance rave up, Rock Da World at The Gallery with Daniele Davoli, but it’s with his production partner that Tim will do the damage this time! The Gallery’s star in the making, Gavyn Mytchel continues his weekly residence with another unmissable late night set of driving tech-trance, with warm up duties falling to new recruit Jay Joy.

If that lot doesn’t float your boat, then why not check out this week’s backrooms for a ‘bit of the other’. In T2, we welcome London party crew Refresh to the decks to romp out a refreshing mix of twisted and funky house. Special guests are Mutiny – Sunflower Records head honchos and Underwater Records veterans. Over the years Dylan & Rob have delivered some amazing moments in this very room at the ‘Mills and we look forward to having the boys back on old turf, just as their new LP is set to drop in the new year. Refresh ressies Budd & Goose, plus more guests to be announced complete the bill. Elsewhere in T3, we welcome back London record outlet Kinetec after their full-on debut in October, which featured a storming Live/DJ set from D.A.V.E. The Drummer. This time they guys welcome Top UK Techno talent Pedro Delgardo to join Residents James Kinetec, Thermobee & Dave Randall. Headliner Pedro Delgardo has been making waves all over the world of late, where his hard, groovy tribal techno sets have been much in demand. Tipped as "The fastest rising star in the International Techno scene", Delgardo’s tracks are also in high demand by the scenes heavyweights including Carl Cox, Mauro Picotto, Trevor Rockliffe and Marco Bailey and his Gallery debut will certainly be a set not to be missed!
