Digital Society has fast become one of the hottest monthly nights in Leeds, and has been a revelation in the UK Trance scene since its launch at the beginning of 2007. With a forward thinking music policy, and a reputation for showcasing some of the finest DJ/Producers from across the planet alongside the more established artists in today’s scene, Digital Society offers the freshest upfront perspective on the full spectrum of the Trance genre.

The 9th of May 2008 sees Digital Society once again return to My House Leeds, straight off the back of the stunning April event and is set to be yet another huge DS party. International Trance legends Signum headline Digital Society v13 and this showcase promises to be something quite special – Highly acclaimed over the years for being responsible for some of the biggest releases in Trance history, including ‘coming on strong’, ‘first strike’ and ‘push through’ to name but a few, Dutchmen Signum land at DS HQ with an equally impressive reputation as top draw performers and continue to be held in the highest esteem by all. With some fresh remixes on the horizon and continued work with Armada music, this performance offers a look into the past, aswell as a look into the future.

Joining Signum at the top of the roster are none other than Finnish maestros, Super8 & dj Tab. The Anjunabeats artists fly into Leeds to make what is there second appearance at Digital Society and certainly have been busy since then, back in June 2007. With high profile tracks in the shape of ‘Suru’ and ‘Worldwide ‘, and there remix of ‘Above & Beyond – Oceanic’ ,all on Anjunabeats, winning rave reviews right across the globe and a hectic gig list to say the least, Super8 & Tab will once again offer there unique blend of Progressive Trance, after being nominated for set of the year by the knowledgeable DS faithful.

DS continues with its forward thinking policy in the shape of Swedish star Sebastian Brandt – another name that seems to be on everybody’s one-to-watch list. Sebastian arrives on British shores for his exclusive UK debut, off the back of the mammoth releases ‘Technology’ and ‘So Cold’ on the A State Of Trance label. Collaborations under the Selu Vibra and Undersun guises in recent times have cemented Sebastian as one of the scenes hottest talents.

Digital Society residents Activa (Conspiracy recordings) and Will Holland (Enhanced Recordings) complete the headline roster both fresh from recent successes in there own right. ‘Activa – Remember’ on Vandit has been in every credible DJ’s record box for the past 2 months and the Mixmag ‘Compliation of the Month’ Enhanced Recordings MastersSeries1 with Alex MORPH & Woody Van Eyden has proved a massive success.

Also featuring in the main room is highly regarded DS resident Paul Pearson, on a night that is primed to offer the full spectrum of the hottest upfront Trance music in the business!
Digital Society welcomes back Blank to host room2, covering a blend of all things House - ranging from Electro-tinged Prog through to tech-induced mayhem, and featuring guest djs Zade Cross, The NOX, Lucien Fraud, Russel James and Blank resident Nathan Parker. In the wonderful surroundings of Leeds most intimate venue MyHouse, with the fantastic DS production & decor, the awesome FunktionOne soundsystem, the renowned garden terrace, Blank once again hosting rooms 2, the friendliest staff in Leeds and drink promotions galore - the thirteenth edition of Digital Society promises to be another special event to remember!

Sebastian Brandt could already be a legend in electronic dance music, despite his young age as 19

Being one of the minds behind the biggest trance track in 2006 (Voted by the people!) with "Selu Vibra - Divine" and the fantastic summer smasher "Under Sun - Capoeira" No more needed to say. He is the trance scene’s most young successful producer of all time.

Sebastian recalls "I remember a few years ago when I was 15 years old and had nothing, now I have everything and more then I could ever image, dj gigs around the world, support from the biggest dj’s and a lot less free time..."

Playing for the biggest promotes in Scandinavia has made him to one of the most popular dj´s in Scandinavia and the word is starting to spread around the world. With a blended fusion between the best of techy minimal to uplifting trance, he´s about to please most of the ears in any club around the world. Sebastian says "I think my strength behind the decks is not that I’m very good mixer, but the fact that I have so many genre’s to choose from and still being able to play my sound, its a shame so many dj’s lock themselves into one genre when you can take the best from every genre and mix it together... but of course, you have to do this with style right "

With a wide range of qualities, Sebastian doesn’t become "Yet another trance dj that plays the same old stuff that everybody else does". With Sebastian, you get the full package: A young world wide recon talent with the biggest trance hits, blending sets, and of course the most important one, a man who can create a grave yard into a raving bedlam!
