"Headlands" Radio Show
Hosted by Tim Robert on Pure.FM Progressive
Thursday, August 13th with Nick Stoynoff
8-10 PM EDT, 00:00 - 02:00 GMT
Every 2nd Thursday "Headlands" showcases the latest progressive house tracks from
both established and up-and-coming artists. The show's 2nd hour features guest mixes
by prominent American and International DJs and producers. This month features
a guest mix by Chicago DJ/Producer Nick Stoynoff.
Born and raised in Chicago, Nick Stoynoff was exposed to the pioneers
of house music from a very early age, something that is evident in his
'classic' production sound. Since his introduction to electronic dance music,
Nick has developed and honed his skills as a DJ and producer, appearing
at multiple venues in Chicago and throughout America. As a DJ, he firmly
embodies the 'journeyman' theory, taking crowds on a unique trip with his
blend of deep techy grooves and an uplifting progressive styles. On the
production front, Nick has releases on Audio Logic, Baroque, Nightshade,
Proton and Solaris. His sound bears all the hallmarks of the halcyon days
of Sasha, Nick Warren and early G.U compilations, with its intrinsic attention
to detail, spaciousness, intelligent progressive arrangments and genre defying
structures.
