Summers gone for another year and we head into winter. You either love it or hate it.

Used to have some great ones around here snow wise but those days are over. Were lucky if we get a talcon powder dusting these winters, shame, always loved to build 10 feet hign igloo's.

Yes, and then overnight the rain freezes into ice and you're screwed. Neutral

I used to enjoy the winter as a kid but not now especially when you have get up early in the morning for college/work ect then stand freezing at a bus stop in the vain hope that it'll turn up quickly.

Chipping the ice off the car windscreen is a real pain in the ass I must admit.

But overnight ice has its advantages. Used to pour water all over the yard before I'd go to bed, wake up in the morning and wayhey, ice rink Smile

Quite a popular thing where I live, lots of people live on farms and either flood an area or wait till their pond freezes and skate on that.

Remember those days well, waking up in the morning finding snow all over and waiting for the news that school will be 'closed'.

In my old school there was days like that. If the buses didn't run, they would just cancel school because so many students lived out of town and had to take the bus, it wasn't worth while for the people who lived in town to come in.

I don't like winter. That's one of the reasons I moved from the inland to the coast of Norway, but still we have snow here (was A LOT last winter). Anyway...I think snow is pretty ok when it's there, but what I dislike the most is snow that melts every other week so you get slushy roads that freezes to ice and such. It's horrible!

Also hate having to remove ice from the car windows EVERY morning (yeah, it's allready started!) and car-doors freezing stuck if rain freezes to ice overnight.

Icy roads is dangerous, not fun (driving many kilometers feeling you have no control whatsoever isn't fun at all). Snowy roads are ok.

Btw, you guys living in the UK have nothing to complain about!
