Is there any point to POP IDOL / FAME ACCADEMY E.t.c

is it just me or are all these type of programs completly pointless...

music should be from the heart not from manufactured programs !! Razz

.. the only good thing about them is from a heartless point of view, when a contestant gets voted out and they emotionally break down live on air !! Razz

these are just silly programs...allthough I must admit I did watch Pop Idols when it was on a few months ago (mostly because my wife wanted to see it of course)

Pop Idol and Fame Academy are a right load of bollocks in my view. I sometimes watch it to see what twats go on there and think they can sing.

All they do is covers, covers and more covers. No respect for any of the people who go on that and release singles because they are all.............covers! Good vioce or not.

Wish they would stop producing these programs as its litering the already dnb and urban filled chart with utter toss.

Im sick of those types of programs IMO their full of wannabe pop bitches who are willing to be raped for their five minutes of fame. what is funny is the the brain dead teeny boppers who vote for the winner cos he/she is georgeous and not because they have any actual talent. Then rush out buy their album tell everyone how great they are then a year down the line decide that they are crap which everyone else has been trying to tell them in the first place. I have to admit I watched American Idol the first time it came out, and followed Pop Idol on the net, but when they started doing sequels and spin offs it was mega boring and pure cheese. That happens with every reality show now, and I hate them all! And have you ever noticed they don't let different genres in? It's all about the divas, the old style of "classic" songs that everyone in the family can listen to? How boring is that!?

I don't waste my time on those type of programs. I think it's just a money scheme. Like posted previously, music shouldn't be manufactured.

I like the programs, sometimes the singers are good... and i like hearing nice voices whether it be in electronic music or just plain and simple.. Smile
