The rise of Magnus over the past year or so has been good to see, but even better to listen to as he makes his Perfecto Fluoro debut with a four track EP called Render One. It's easy to see why his sound sits so perfectly with the Fluoro stable of Perfecto...
It’s a very good sign to see a name like Magnus appear on a label with the prestige that Perfecto Fluoro holds. I first heard about this trance wizard from a few releases on Christopher Lawrence’s Pharmacy music label a little over a year ago. There was something about his music style that suited the Pharmacy brand and how he has evolved it over the past year the Magnus beat of 2014 is perfectly suited to Perfecto. With the Render One EP you really get the red carpet treatment with four brand new beats from Magnus.

:: Render One :: Marine Groove :: Satin :: Sinelock
While Magnus has compiled four different tunes into this release they all have one thing in common and that’s energy. There are no chill out moments to be had with these four stellar trance tunes edge with that psy touch. Magus has a really well polished production style and a grown up sense of style with his music at the moment. The pulsating beats, ripping basslines and sweeping melodies to be found across these four are a pure trance fans joy to behold. While you don’t need me to give you a beat by beat account of this release the two standout tracks for me, just for the pure brilliance of the main melodies, would be Render One and Sinelock. That’s not to say the other two are worth discarding as they are stellar pieces of trance in their own right.
Conclusion:
Trance has got many people very excited in recent months and with music of this quality its no surprise. The Fluoro branch of Perfecto has another star on its roster with Magnus and provided you with an essential trance purchase yet again. This is EP is hot, very hot.
