© VIIIGet ready for some serious trance straight from the mixing desk of Simon Patterson as he launches the first in VII’s new compilation series ‘Solo’…

It is very exciting times for the world of VII, the label run by John Askew. It’s a label with a very strict invitation list and while you might think why limit yourself to 7 artists with the spread over talent he has you don’t need any more. One of the magnificent seven is a chap called Simon Patterson. He’s been around for some time now and his reputation speaks for itself when it comes to popping out a good tune or two.

He has become part of the family at VII and got the nod to compile one of the four mixes that made up the labels debut compilation. Now, he gets another debut with the launch of their ‘Solo’ compilation series. The series has the prime aim at putting the artist is full control of a double mix using every ouch of their creative spark to create two explosive mixes.

With Simon, you can expect to hear a real spectrum of trance sound over the two discs with exclusives galore. As the VII page put it “Over two CDs Patterson blends and moves between all the colours of the trance rainbow with perfect precision, consistent energy and and well timed moments of emotional ejaculation”. Now that’s a mess I don’t mind cleaning up!

The good news is the album is now ready for pre-order from the VII online shop as well as some very tidy merchandise to go with it. You can really stand out with the very dashing red tee shirt they have available as a bundle if you buy with the CD. There is no tracklist yet but to be quite honest they could release this without one, you know it’s going to be top quality.

:: Available to pre-order right now!
